BOOK REVIEW:
MAY DAY BY F. SCOTT FITZGERALD

Title: May Day
Author: F. Scott Fitzgerald
Published: 1920
Language: English
Pages: 94
Rating: 3/5

Summary:
A bunch of privileged college boys have just come back from the war and come to meet and confront a group of left-wing journalists in New York City after World War I.

Review:
A short and typical Fitzgerald story, this was an interesting novella to read.

You're thrown right into this story and it follows several different characters. It was quite easy to imagine the setting and I felt I got a good feel for most of the characters, even though the story is so short.

There are several threads of story that all come together in the end, an ending I found a bit abrupt and surprisingly sad. That being said, this isn't a story that made a huge impact on me and I find I don't have much else to say about it.

I would recommend this book if you want to try some Fitzgerald, but maybe not read one of his bigger novels.
