Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness

This is the third and final book in the Chaos Walking trilogy. You can read my review of the first, The Knife of Never Letting Go and the second, The Ask and The Answer.

As this is the third book in a series, this review will contain spoilers.

Summary:
Three armies are approaching New Prentisstown and Todd and Viola, finally together again, find themselves caught in the middle.

Review:
I finally got around to finishing this trilogy, and my overall impression of it is... it's great!

The first book in this series is definitely the strongest, but I thought this was a very good conclusion. I found the first part of the book to be a bit repetitive and similar to large parts of the second book, but that's my only complaint.

I think what I've enjoyed most about this book is reading about the bad guy, The Mayor. I found him to be a very fascinating character, and he throws you for a loop more than once. I also thought it was great that we got to learn more about the Spackle, the aboriginal species of the planet.

I would highly recommend this series if you science fiction and dystopia. It's definitely one of the best series I've read in this genre.
